Communications Associate

The Communications Associate position is an opportunity for a highly motivated professional with project management skills to work as part of a dynamic team. The Communications Associate will help the Marketing & Communications Department and the Programming Department turn the Moise Safra Center’s goals into reality. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude, superior project planning and time management skills, creativity, as well as the adaptability to meet the changing needs of the Moise Safra Center’s members.
About the Moise Safra Center
Recently opened on 82nd Street and Lexington Avenue, the Moise Safra Center’s 65,000 square foot building is a vertical campus with 12 floors with dedicated venues for social, recreational, educational, spiritual and wellness activities. The facility includes a pool, fitness center, synagogue and beit midrash, culinary, dance and yoga studios, elegant banquet space with an outdoor terrace and views of the city. This signature Jewish center combines tradition and innovation to nurture the mind, body, and soul of its membership in a sophisticated urban setting.
The Moise Safra Center Marketing & Communications Department currently supports the entire Center’s marketing and advertising needs both within the building and externally. This includes daily, weekly and monthly programs, special events, and holidays. We run all communications via website, email and social media to our members and wider community.
Responsibilities
The Communications Associate reports to the Communications & Marketing Manager.
The Communications Associate will work with the Center’s staff to help create and design graphics, emails, and social media content to promote programs, events, and classes. They will also work in partnership with the Communications Manager to maintain and update the website and to assess the efficiency of our communications to grow awareness and attendance for all Center activities.
As well, the Communications Associate will also work with other departments to support the overall Center’s need such as the Concierge Desk and Programming Department. This will include data support, registrations, and communicating to members, teachers, trainers, and instructors as well as using our backend computer system, Quattro.

Professional Requirements
• 1-2 years of work experience preferred
• Minimum of a BA/BS required
• Preferred experience using databases
• Preferred experience with graphic design either on canva or photoshop
